Make Travel Easy with the Library

Happy Thanksgiving! If you’re traveling or have family coming, use free library resources to make the holiday fun.

While our libraries are closed November 28-29 for the Thanksgiving holiday, our online resources are still available! Whether you want to download eBooks to entertain yourself or your kids for a flight or road trip, the family wants to watch a movie, or you want to learn something new from our Great Courses, your library has you covered.

Libby, an app from Overdrive, houses thousands of digital books and audiobooks which you can read directly on your Internet browser or through the app. There are items perfect for kids, teens and adults across a variety of genres. You will need our library card number and PIN to access Libby. You can download 10 books at a time and place up to 10 holds per library card. RBdigital houses digital magazines, which you can download straight to your smart device. We have dozens of digital magazines across many genres like home design, photography, food and technology. You’ll need your library card number and PIN to create an account on RBdigital.

Flipster, an EBSCO product, is one of our newer digital services, with 22 popular magazines ready for you to download and peruse. Flip through Forbes, TIME, People and Food & Wine while you wait for your flight, the turkey to cook or while relaxing after a day of shopping. You’ll need your library card number and PIN to access Flipster.

Kanopy is a video streaming service with documentaries, award-winning films and classics. Kanopy also has a Kanopy Kids section with movies and television shows perfect for preschoolers and up. With your library card you have access to 5 views per month, and Kanopy Kids is unlimited. You’ll need your library card number and PIN to set up an account.
