Plano Learns: Photopea 101 Workshop

Take a tour with Plano Public Library through the powerful web-based photo editing software Photopea.

On July 28, 2020 Plano Public Library hosted a virtual workshop covering the differences and similarities of Photopea to Photoshop and some of its basic functionalities. You can access Photopea for free.

Youtube is one of the world’s largest video sharing sites that hosts a vast number of videos posted by individual creators. You can search for a variety of tutorials dedicated to different tips and functions in Photopea that tackle photo editing, graphic design, illustration and more.

Photopea for Beginners – How to Get Started Editing Photos in Photopea Tutorial – by TodaysTuts, 12/10/2018. This video covers the basics of Photopea and how to begin editing photos.

Photopea Removing Background of a Photo – by Madelyn Ueltschi, 9/5/2019. This video explains how to remove a background from an image.

Provides online training courses that cover a variety of topics (including business, design, web development and multimedia skills) and software (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and open source applications). Requires a Plano Public Library card.

• See our Polish Your Skills with Lynda blog posts, with recorded video tutorial by our staff, to understand how Lynda works. 
• In Lynda.com, there is an entire section dedicated to Photoshop – with more than 400 courses and 17,000 videos. See the latest releases, learning paths and any weekly series available.
• While Lynda.com does not have tutorials for Photopea, there are many functions in the program that operate in the same way they would in Photoshop. You can choose your skill level (beginner, intermediate and advanced) to better tailor which videos you see in the list. Here are some courses we suggest:
