With a new season, comes a new collection of classes! We will recap the technology events coming up at the library (and virtually) this September, but be sure to check the Engage brochure and/or online calendar for our schedule through December. As a reminder: all library classes are free, though some require registration or tickets due to limited space or supplies.

All Ages
  • Intro to 3D Printing – Saturday, September 16 at 3pm at Harrington Library

Learn about the additive manufacturing process of making three-dimensional objects available at Plano Public Library


Grades 3 & Up
  • TinkerCAD: Design Basics – Saturday, September 23 at 3pm at Harrington Library

Learn the basics of three-dimensional design using TinkerCAD, a free web app for 3D design


Ages 13 & Up
Adobe Creative Cloud
  • After Effects: Basic Motion Graphics – Tuesday, September 12 at 3pm via Zoom

Unlock the power of animation, transforming still graphics into captivating GIFs and video introductions. Register here.

  • Photoshop: Basics – Monday, September 18 at 6:30pm at Haggard Library

Learn how to navigate the workspace, toolbar and panels in Photoshop to create graphics. Free tickets are available in-person 30 minutes before the program begins.

Computer Skills
  • Basics Part I – Wednesday, September 13 at 10am at Harrington Library

Learn how to use the mouse and keyboard, navigate your computer and print documents. For those with little or no computer experience. Free tickets are available in-person 30 minutes before the program begins.

  • Basics Part II – Friday, September 15 at 10am at Harrington Library

Learn where information is stored on your computer, how to save files and about local and remote storage. Free tickets are available in-person 30 minutes before the program begins.

  • Photography: Exposure Triangle – Saturday, September 16 at 3pm at Haggard Library

Getting started with photography? Learn the basics of aperture, shutter speed and ISO.

  • How to Use eBooks – Friday, September 22 at 11am at Haggard Library

Learn basic tips about how to search, borrow, manage and troubleshoot eBooks. Find out how to read eBooks on different devices such as iPad, Kindle, phone and computer.
