“I am excited to pick up another YA Book Bundle soon!”

Read about Teen Street Team member Emma’s first Young Adult Fiction Book Bundle.

Over Thanksgiving Break, I decided to check out a YA Book Bundle. After first hearing about them at a recent Teen Street Team (TST) meeting, I knew I had to find out more.

I headed over to the eBooks & More page of the Plano Public Libraries website and scrolled down to learn about the different Book Bundles offered. From Board Book Sets to Teen Fiction Sets, and even some bundles in Spanish or Chinese, there will be a Book Bundle ready for you!

When I arrived at my local library, I called the main number and they soon had a YA Book Bundle ready for me via the contactless porch pickup without me needing to place anything on hold. The whole experience was extremely convenient and now I have four amazing books to read!

Here is a picture of my YA Book Bundle! I love how all the books are held securely together and it was so exciting to open it up once I got home.

The first book I looked at was The Edge of Anything by Nora Shalaway Carpenter. I love how the chapters change between the two narrators, Len and Shay, as they embark on their journey of self-discovery and friendship. Before checking out my Book Bundle, I had never heard of this book, so I am excited to widen my breadth of literature with this novel!

The next book from the bundle is Hour of the Bees by Lindsay Eager. I am excited to learn about Carol’s experience with magical realism through hearing stories from her grandfather. I always find it special to hear about the power of connecting with and learning from older relatives!

Next, The Undertaking of Lily Chen by Danica Novgorodoff will be an exciting read. While I do not normally read graphic novels, I am thrilled to learn more about the ancient customs in Deshi Li’s community via these images. This will also prepare me for the next Reel Reading, an all teen book club, meeting on December 22 at 7 pm!

Finally, the last book from the bundle is Neverworld Wake by Marisha Pessl. I have loved mystery books for as long as I can remember, and I am excited to read a novel with more fantasy! I am intrigued by the blurb to find out what happened to Beatrice’s high school friend Jim, who suddenly died during high school. While time freezes, I hope Beatrice will be able to solve the mystery before time returns to normal!

I would definitely recommend checking out a Book Bundle to teens, as you can discover new books, genres, and authors that you would not typically read. Once I finish this amazing selection of books, I am excited to pick up another YA Book Bundle soon!
