Plano Library Speaks: Preserving Collin County History

In episode 14 of the Plano Library Speaks podcast, we talk with Genealogy Librarian Cheryl Smith about the library’s online archive – Collin County Images. Links or information mentioned in the show can be found below. Be sure to subscribe to the podcast to be the first to hear each episode, and of course, subscribe to the Plano Library Learns blog to get new blog posts directly in your inbox each week.

Cheryl may sound familiar – she was in Episode 5 of the podcast talking about the Genealogy Center! You can listen on our blog here.

Collin County Images is the online archive for photos, documents, yearbooks and other materials representing the people and places of Collin County. This online archive began with 165 images from the Wells Collection 15 years ago, and the library has been adding to the collection ever since. You can browse different timelines and collections, just click “Browse” at the top of the page.

The Genealogy Center team also contributes to the blog, showcasing different topics through the archives. Check out past blog posts here.
