Plano Public Library offers a variety of databases and resources related to your personal and professional development. These resources are available to our patrons to research a topic or learn something new as part of our mission to promote lifelong learning. A valid Plano Public Library card is required to access most databases.
This database offers online practice tests for civil service, firefighter, emergency medical services, law enforcement, GED, FRE, TAKS, ASVAB, real estate, SAT, TOEFEL, TASP, plus other occupations and subjects, college prep, software tutorials and more excellent learning tools.

This database provides online training courses that cover a variety of topics (including business, design, web development and multimedia skills) and software (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud and open source applications).
This service offers live online tutoring from real tutors, every day from 2 pm to 11 pm. Adult tutoring includes career coaching, ESL and citizenship test help.
This database offers a fun and easy way to learn to speak, read and write any of 146 languages. It includes live tutors, feature films, music with lyrics, pronunciation analysis, quizzes and more! It also features ESL for 50 non-English languages, plus free apps for Android, Apple and Kindle Fire devices.
